One of Panasonic’s initiatives was to use Interactor® as a solution backend to minimize the time required in adapting to changes in protocol, data format and solution logic.

Newly developed sensors and devices need a new solution backend. And every time a product goes through an iteration, backend needs to change with code updates. This impacts product life cycles and time to market.
Having an agile solution backend provides flexibility for the sensor and device developers to freely experiment with different solution ideas, protocols, and data formats. It becomes possible to cater to customer’s changing needs and increase possibility of sales.

Traditionally solution development with a new sensor or device takes a long time. Using Interactor®, solution backend development in product life cycle can be dramatically reduced. Making changes based on protocol or data format update usually takes less then 5 minutes.
HOW INTERACTOR IS USED
|Interfacing:||Interactor® is installed in server which interacts with Bluetooth gate and Analytic System.|
|Applying Logic:||Solution logic is configured directly on the Interactor®. Data handling such as filtering, transformation, and aggregation are performed at the gateway, where normalized data is pushed to Analytic System for consumption.|
|Maintenance:||Project had to go through many iterations. Since Interactor® is configuration based, changes are applied with a few commands, bypassing the software development life cycle.|
|Physical connection:||Bluetooth gateway is used to connect the sensors. Analytics system is connected through IP.|
